Wee House of Glenshee Claimed

You will find us…

On the 90-mile SnowRoads scenic route and on the edge of Cairngorm National Park.  We are surrounded by the most stunning mountain scenery Perthshire has to offer.  The highest peaks in Scotland… the fertile farmland… the rolling hills… and the rugged landscape of this area is breath-taking.  Glenshee features strongly in the Scottish history books where myths and facts mingle to create a rich tapestry typical of its past – did you know it is also known as “the Glen of the Fairies” taken from the gaelic word “sith” meaning fairy?

Our Tea Room serves a delicious selection of freshly prepared food, all made daily with locally sourced ingredients including:

  • light lunches
  • our famous venison & red wine pies
  • delicious home-made soups
  • toasted sandwiches
  • cheese boards
  • home baking
  • speciality coffee and teas
  • Stewart Tower ice cream which is locally produced and made to an Italian gelato-style recipe that gives it the light creamy texture it is famous for.
You can choose to sit in (the wood burning stove will keep you warm in the winter months) or you can takeaway, and there is also outside seating for when the weather is kind enough.

Our local Visitor and Information Centre for the area is incorporated within The Wee House.  This caters for the huge numbers of outdoor enthusiasts who visit Perthshire to enjoy the wide range of outdoor activities that are available all year round;  walkers, golfers, anglers, horse riders, and shooters, in particular, will feel right at home here.  They will be able to find information on all those activities and more… nearby accommodation… maps… walking guides… as well as learn about the local history of the area.

Our gift shop has an extensive and unique range of quality products to browse including paintings and other items by local artists, souvenirs and local produce including honey, jams and preserves.

My team and I really look forward to welcoming you soon!

Nikki
